Protecting the Land, Water, and Wildlife of Yakutat, Alaska

The Yakutat Nature Society (YNS) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting, conserving, and enhancing the rich ecosystems of the Yakutat region.

From the rugged coastline and ancient forests to the glacier-fed rivers and wetlands, we work to ensure that birds, fish, wildlife, and people can thrive together in balance.

Our organization brings together residents, visitors, and partners who share a deep appreciation for Yakutat’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Through education, research, and outreach, we promote stewardship of the environment we all depend on.
